Kira Griffitt

Kira designs and oversees implementation of semantic and information extraction annotation tasks for DEFT - ERE, DEFT - AMR, BOLT – IR, TAC KBP and Machine Reading. She holds a Masters degree in Linguistics from the University of California Santa Barbara, and studied Linguistics and Russian at Indiana University as an undergraduate. Her research interests include developing semantic annotation systems that are robust to informal and conversational data, and rooted in discourse-based semantic and syntactic analysis.
