Ann Sawyer

Ann coordinates research, data collection and annotation activities for multiple projects within the Annotation/Collection Group. She oversees technical reporting and staffing resources and coordinates logistics for the group. Ann also manages LDC’s internal Speaker Series, designed to foster the exchange of technical knowledge across projects and groups.

Ann has an M.A. in Linguistics from the University of Southern California, and a B.A. in Linguistics (minor: Japanese language and culture) from Wayne State University in Detroit. Her research interests are phon{-etics, -ology} and language change. Ann's professional background includes supervisory and management experience in the pc manufacturing and insurance industries.
