LDC papers in LREC 2020 Proceedings

Nine papers by LDC staff members were published in the conference and workshop proceedings for the 12th Language Resources and Evaluation Conference (LREC2020), hosted by ELRA, the European Language Resources Association. LREC 2020 was scheduled to be held May 11-16 in Marseille (France) and to feature a broad range of sessions on language resource and human language technologies research. Although the conference was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, conference proceedings containing all accepted papers were published as planned.

These papers feature recent work in topics including game-based speech collection, developing language packs in low-resource languages for rapid event response, morphological segmentation in low-resource languages, the new related works metadata field in LDC’s Catalog, and the LanguageARC portal, as well as a review of recent Consortium activities. In addition to the main proceedings, papers were accepted in two workshops: the 1st Joint SLTU and CCURL Workshop (Spoken Language Technologies for Under-resourced languages and Collaboration and Computing for Under-Resourced Languages) and the CLLRD Workshop (Citizen Linguistics in Language Resource Development) (co-organized by LDC).

All LDC papers are available on the LDC Papers Page.
