This spontaneous speech database consists of 72 single channel recordings of a radio debate program called Radioforum (RF) broadcast by Czech Radio 1 (CRo1) every weekday evening. Radioforum is a live talk show where invited guests (most often politicians) spontaneously answer topical questions asked by 1 or 2 interviewers. The number of interviewees in a single program ranges from 1 to 3. Most frequently, 1 interviewer and 2 interviewees appear in the program. The material includes passages of interactive dialog, but longer stretches of monolog-like speech slightly prevail. The talk show also has an interactive part in which radio listeners call to the studio and ask their own questions. However, these telephony parts are not transcribed in the current release of the corpus.     

The total duration of all the recordings is 40 hours. Duration of individual recordings ranges from 27 to 36 minutes. The recordings were acquired over the air during the period from February 12, 2003 through June 26, 2003. The signal is mono, sampled at 22.05 kHZ with 16-bit resolution, stored in the Windows PCM waveform format. The names of the audio files refer to day of broadcast (rfYYMMDD.wav).
